Don't Sleep : Holly Weerd "Electricity Showroom"

If y'all paid attention to the audio posts, y'all might've caught the joint "Weerdo (9th Wonder Remix)" in the singles section. Hollyweerd's been gettin maaaaaaaad play in the whip as of lately. they hail straight outta Atlanta, Georgia and their style ain't on that typical trap/crunk music. you can hear the influence for sure but along with that steez, is that electro/new wave type iddish. i f*ckin love that sh*t!! what i like most about these cats is that they know how to have fun and it definitely shows in the music. sure, they aint the most prolific rappers but they ain't aiming for that. its all about 'vibe'. which is why i loved Slum Vill so much when they first dropped Fantastic Vol.1. so yeah, i got a hold of the mixtape on their myspace, and its really dope. mad versatility and realllly entertaining. another ill moment was the "Dilla phone call" interlude, don't know where that came from but it's definitely a nod to the late great. don't SLEEP and take a listen. oh yeah and shout out to my dude AEON for making the tracklist, he did a remix to "Member's Only" (i got hit up with a remix opportunity as well so expect a Lyve/Hollyweerd collab soon!). GODDNESS FAM UP!!!! 09 grind!!!
